Core: 2.4lb Extruded PE

Deck: IXL Crosslink PE

Slick: Stealth HD

Stringer: Single S5 Stringer

Template: Intermediate

Features: Graduated Channels, Crescent Tail

The Bolt is one of the best value for money boards on the market and really has a pro feel for a board in the mid-range selection. We?ve used our most popular all round template which makes this board ideal an all conditions. With the classic PE Crosslink deck which is ultra-waterproof and decreases the risk of rash this is a perfect board for the rider looking to step up their bodyboarding in the summer months. The Polyethylene core will allow the right amount of flex for an intermediate rider who wants to advance to some more challenging conditions and the double stringer means the board can take a flogging!

Size Guide

Suggested Sizing

As a general guide, a bodyboard should go to the rider's belly button. apart from that, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to choosing the correct size board. Generally bigger boards are faster, but not as easy to control, and generally suited to smaller waves and beginners. On the other hand smaller boards are a bit harder to generate speed, however, have greater control and are ideal for bigger waves and more advanced riders.

As a guide, please refer to the table below. If you're a beginner, you are probably best suited to a size in which you fall in the lower end of the weight range. ie. 40kg beginner would be best suited to 38", not 36".

    Board Size Weight Range
    34" <30kg
    36" 25-40kg
    38" 35-50kg
    40" 45-75kg
    42" 65-95kg
    44" 80-105kg

    BOLT TECHNICAL SPECS

    Core: 2.4lb Extruded PE
    Deck: IXL Crosslink PE
    Slick: Stealth HD
    Tail: Crescent
Features: Stringer, 55/45 Double Rails, Graduated Channels.

    PRO Template

Th most common template used by our Pro Team. It is designed for a high performance riding in a variety of conditions.

    PE CORE

2.4lb Extruded Polyethelene core. As it has a lower density, it is a little softer than Kinetic PP Core used in many Pro boards, but has better flex properties and durabilty than EPS Cores.

    S5 STRINGER

In this model we use a filament composite fibre tube inserted into the core of the board for extra stiffness, recoil and durability.

    HD SLICK

This a high density, closed cell thermoplastic found on the bottom of the board. It increases performance, while also greatly increasing durability by protecting the core of the board.

    IXLPE DeckSKIN

IXLPE is a crosslinked polyethylene foam creating a very smooth deck. It is the stiffest, most durable decksing but protects against rash and abrasion.

    CrESCENT TAIL

The most popular bodyboard tail. The clipped crescent tail provides the perfect mix of hold, drive and responsiveness when you need it, in all types of conditions

    GRADUATED CHANNELS

These are contours found on the slick side of the board, near the tail and close to the rails. They are designed to give you rail control and making the board less likely to side-slip.

    55/45 Double Rails

The two IXLPE Rails provide extra strength, while the 50/50 construction leaves a touch less rail in the water providing the perfect mix of control and speed for most conditions.

    Great board

Goes well, slightly surprised you have to source your own wrist cord/strap but the board itself handled strong Tasmanian east coast swell with no issues

    Board

It is a very good board and adapts to all conditions. As well as that it is very fast on the water and can be duckdived easy.

    Fun bodyboard

Having just moved to Coffs Harbour I wanted a fun, easy to manoeuvre bodyboard to use on the great beaches of the mid north coast. The Bolt PE was prefect. Might have to get another one for the wife!
