Pro Template
The most common template used by our Pro Team. It is designed for a high performance riding in a variety of conditions.
LITEFLEX CORE (1.2lb PP)
The 1.2lb Polypropylene is a lighter density than the standard 1.9lb Polypropylene. This lighter density offers higher levels of flex and recoil and thereby control. Perfect for cooler climates or those who like a bit of flex.
2 x STRINGER
2 filament composite fibre tubes inserted into the core of the board to greatly increase stiffness, recoil and durability.
HD SLICK
This a high density, closed cell thermoplastic found on the bottom of the board. It increases performance, while also greatly increasing durability by protecting the core of the board.
PE DeckSKIN
The preferred Deck Skin of our Pro Riders as it has less effect on natural flex of the core. Also provides a little more grip than IXL Deckskin.
CrESCENT TAIL
The most popular bodyboard tail. The clipped crescent tail provides the perfect mix of hold, drive and responsiveness when you need it, in all types of conditions
GRADUATED CHANNELS
These are contours found on the slick side of the board, near the tail and close to the rails. They are designed to give you rail control and making the board less likely to side-slip.
55/45 DOUBLE RAILS
The two IXLPE Rails provide extra strength, while the 55/45 Rail shape allows a touch more rail to be in the water, allowing for greater control.
Nose BuLBS
Slick side Nose Bulbs on the nose of the board to provide extra grip in critical situations, and extra comfort for everyday riding.
Suggested Sizing
As a general guide, a bodyboard should go to the rider's belly button. apart from that, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to choosing the correct size board. Generally bigger boards are faster, but not as easy to control, and generally suited to smaller waves and beginners. On the other hand smaller boards are a bit harder to generate speed, however, have greater control and are ideal for bigger waves and more advanced riders.
As a guide, please refer to the table below. If you're a beginner, you are probably best suited to a size in which you fall in the lower end of the weight range. ie. 40kg beginner woudl be best suited to 38", not 36".
Board Size | Weight Range |
34" | <30kg |
36" | 25-40kg |
38" | 35-50kg |
40" | 45-75kg |
42" | 65-95kg |
44" | 80-105kg |
