A new Signature Model for Europe's new boogie prince - Ethan Capdeville.

Ethan is a competitive machine. He finished 4th in the IBC World Tour last year and is currently ranked 6th at only 21 years of age. He's got a couple of Junior European and French titles already too!

In saying that, it is his free surfing that has been blowing us away recently. With visible progression in every clip he releases, its hard to gauge how good he is going to be...his punts are getting bigger and more technical, while he's also looking very comfortable in bigger & heavier waves.

Oh yeh - while he's forging his own path in the sport, Ethan is also the son of bodyboarding legend Nicolas Capdeville, so we think it'd pretty safe to say he has bodyboarding in his blood!

Template - Ethan's template is designed with High Performance, technical riding in mind, so this template features a slightly higher wide-point and a little more curve for maximum control in critical sections.

It has been dialed in to perform in everything from heaving French beach breaks, South American slabs, and Warm water barrels as he follows the Bodyboard World tour around the globe.

Construction - This board uses the new K15 Core, combined with a S10 Stringer and Slick Mesh for durability. This has all the favourable characteristics of Kinetic / Polypro but is just a touch softer making it suitable (although not limited to) slightly cooler waters if required.

Features -  Ethan's Signature Hand Grips, Crescent Tail w/ Tail Piece, 55/45 Rails, CNC Parallel Channels and Nose Bulbs.

See below for detailed look at the features 👇

Size Guide

Suggested Sizing

As a general guide, a bodyboard should go to the rider's belly button. apart from that, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to choosing the correct size board. Generally bigger boards are faster, but not as easy to control, and generally suited to smaller waves and beginners. On the other hand smaller boards are a bit harder to generate speed, however, have greater control and are ideal for bigger waves and more advanced riders.

As a guide, please refer to the table below. If you're a beginner, you are probably best suited to a size in which you fall in the lower end of the weight range. ie. 40kg beginner would be best suited to 38", not 36".

    Board Size Weight Range
    34" <30kg
    36" 25-40kg
    38" 35-50kg
    40" 45-75kg
    42" 65-95kg
    44" 80-105kg

    ETHAN CAPDEVILLE TEMPLATE

Designed for technical, high performance bodyboarding in a variety of waves conditions.

It features a slightly higher widepoint and a little more curve than our other Pro Model boards.

    K15 CORE (PP)

The best of both worlds! The K15 Core has all the benefits of regular PP with a touch of added softness making it ideal for Cool-Mid climates or those who like a touch of flex.

Like regular PP, it is lightweight & waterproof with incredible flex and recoil properties, whilst still retaining stiffness and providing durability.

    STRINGER & MESH

The PP/ Stringer / Mesh combo is the most common construction style used by our team riders. These work together to provide stiffness & recoil both longitudinally and laterally, whilst also increasing durability.

    SURLYN SLICK

The slick Pro Bodyboarders demand ! Finest grade authentic Dupont Surlyn™ slick skin. Surlyn™ exhibits rubber-like properties for superior projection. It is designed so as that it has minimal impact on the flex properties of the core.

    PE DeckSKIN

The preferred Deck Skin of our Pro Riders as it has less effect on natural flex of the core. Also provides a little more grip than IXL Deckskin.

    CrESCENT TAIL

The most popular bodyboard tail. The clipped crescent tail provides the perfect mix of hold, drive and responsiveness when you need it, in all types of conditions

    CNC GRADUATED CHANNELS

These channels are constructed using an AKU Shaper Machine. This is the same machine used to create subtle concaves on surfboards, allowing millimetre perfect results.

They are positioned as close to the rail as possible and lightly graduated to give the rider the perfect balance of hold on the face, release when you need it, and speed!

    55/45 DOUBLE RAILS

The two IXLPE Rails provide extra strength, while the 55/45 Rail shape allows a touch more rail to be in the water, allowing for greater control.

    DECK CONTOURS & Nose BuLBS

Slick side Nose Bulbs on the nose of the board & recessed hand grips on the rails to provide extra grip in critical situations, and extra comfort for everyday riding.

hi i already has my bodyboard, the board is incredible better than the photos.
but te delivey was really terrible, i advice you to work with other carrier or at least let the customer choose other local options like DHL, UPS, Olva Courrier from Peru.

Serpost is really disorganized and bad service.

i would like to buy another couple boards, fins and accesories but could yo tell me if is possible to work with a diferent carrier.

    Awesome template

What really drew me to this board was the template and colours! I normally ride a 43" board however, wanted to size down slightly (went the 42.5) and also wanted a higher NTWP, as nearly all the pro models these days have a very low NTWP.
Amazing board, super responsive and maneuverable, spins on a dime and I feel like it fits like a glove for me!
Only negative is the core, not a fan of the 1.5PP would have much preferred to have this in the 1.9PP - I am on the slightly heavier side and find that this core is just too flexy when bottom turning and really digging into the rail - this is in WA winter water too, no chance could I ride this in INDO.
If this came in 1.9PP in Oz, would hands down be my all time fav board!!
I'm still giving it a 5 as the template is phenomenal and I don't want to mark it down for core material reasons - even tho technically it should be a 4/4.5
